Why does the initial Workout import take a long time?

In some cases you may see a processing message when importing multiple workouts.

This is most likely to happen after installing Better Workouts for the first time. The app will try to import all your workout history and calculate metrics like training load, etc. After the first install, the app only needs to calculate metrics for new workouts.

In my case, I have 498 total workouts recorded to date and it takes about 5 minutes to process all of them.
